Level 1 Award in Waste and Recycling

This unit introduces the candidate to the procedures for accepting, collecting, removing and disposing of waste and recyclable materials. Candidates are required to know safe working practices when clearing waste and operating equipment and vehicles.

By diagnostic test to establish English Language Skills

Qualification Structure

(Trainees can take the full qualification of 40 hours (6 days) or individual units on request)

Know how to accept and collect waste and recyclable materials
Be able to remove and dispose of waste
Know how to work safely
Know how to operate waste and recycling equipment and vehicles safely
