Trainee will learn about how to prepare and present themselves for employment and the basic skills required to commence their careers.
Entry Requirements
High school certificate plus A1/low A2 English Language level (diagnostic assessment to be undertaken on application)
Method of Study and Assessment
- Classroom: Blended classroom delivery, online learning, practical skills
- Workplace Experience: Trainees will be registered with employers or on a sponsorship program to allow them to undertake training before commencing their employment duties within the workplace or continue to further study.
Program Description
Trainee will learn about how to prepare and present themselves for employment and the basic skills required to commence their careers.
The qualification covers a range of entry level units into Service Sector Industries currently including
- Hospitality – Front office, reception, concierge, events, business office administration and support
- Travel and Tourism – travel agent, transport ground services (rail, sea and air) tour guide
- Food and beverage service – table service, fast food service, restaurant operations
- Barista skills – coffee shop skills
- Facilities operations – housekeeping, cleaning, minor repairs

Introduction to the facilities industry
Important: This qualification includes a variety of BICSc units to underpin the learning criteria so trainees will be Licensed to practice cleaning science.
